This is a format of Deed of Revocation of Power of Attorney. A link to download PDF version of the format is given below. Once someone had been authorized by virtue of a Power of Attorney to do certain acts and deeds for and on behalf of the Principal, now that Power of Attorney is being cancelled/revoked by the Principal.
Format: Revocation of Power of Attorney
KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS THAT I, ____________ (hereinafter referred to as Principal), son/wife of ___________, by Nationality __________, by occupation ___________, residing at __________ ______________________ state as follows:-
WHEREAS:
1. I, the Principal above named, by virtue of a General Power of Attorney
dated ______________ duly registered at the office of the ______________in Book No. IV, Deed No. ________ of _______ (hereinafter referred to as said Power of Attorney), appointed _____________, son of _________________, by Nationality __________, by occupation ___________, residing at __________ ________________________ (hereinafter referred to as the ATTORNEY), as my lawful attorney and agent for me, in my name and on my behalf to do, execute and perform all acts, deeds and things, therein recited.
2. Because of some cogent reasons I now intend to revoke cancel the said Power of Attorney.
NOW KNOW YE ALL that by this Deed executed at ________ on this the _____ day of _______________, I, ___________ the Principal above named do hereby cancel the said Power of Attorney and absolutely and completely revoke also all powers or authorities thereby and thereunder given to the said Attorney, namely ________________ either expressly or impliedly, to all intents and purposes, PROVIDED that nothing herein contained shall render invalid or ineffective any act, deed or things lawfully and bona fide done or caused to be done by the said Attorney under and by virtue of the power given to him before the revocation thereof by these presents.
